Exquisite Westlake Cove hideaway flaunts exceptional interiors

Westlake Hideaway-Mark Ashby Design-02-1 Kindesign

This impressive residence was designed by Shiflet Architects in collaboration with Mark Ashby Design, located on a secluded cove in Westlake, Austin, Texas. The home is nestled on a sprawling four acre property, offering sweeping views of the lake below. The original architect of the home is David Shiflet, who constructed the property back in 1992. However, the home was in need of a major overhaul, so the architect was commissioned in 2013, along with Mark Ashby Design and Dalgeish Construction to extensively renovate the property, taking two years to complete. According to the designers, they were responsible for all aspects of the design process, from the architectural details and materials to the selection of furnishings. The finished aesthetic achieves the client’s lifestyle needs, modern minimalism, a clean and unfussy look that invites easy living.
