Inside an insanely gorgeous rustic retreat overlooking Table Rock Lake

This beautiful rustic retreat was built by Construction Services of NW Arkansas, with interiors by Locati Interiors, overlooking Table Rock Lake in Missouri. The Chimney Rock home incorporates water at almost every vantage, designed as a lakeside retreat for the homeowners who love to entertain family and friends. The entry to the residence takes visitors along a pathway of stepping stones and a bridge over shallow, reflective pools that meet the stone facade of the home, giving the illusion of a structure built on the water rather than next to it.

Lead on the project, partner Kyle Tage, describes the firm’s approach to incorporating water into the design of this rustic retreat. “Our main emphasis is creating unity between water elements and the architecture. Careful thought and planning go into both the visual impact of the water feature and how you experience it throughout the home, as well as the auditory enjoyment that water can bring.” This thoughtful attention is evident on the opposite elevation of the home as well, where water cascades gently away from the great room and outdoor living areas, toward the lake below. The sound of falling water is the background music to family meals and memories made.

Whether it be a lake home or a fishing retreat on the river, one principle holds true throughout all of Locati’s projects on the water: a recognition that water is Earth’s most precious resource. While building near water, Locati approaches design with both a reverence for its beauty and an appreciation for its importance to all.

What We Love: This stunning rustic retreat offers a zen-like feel with water features surrounding the property. Stepping inside, warm and welcoming interiors offers cozy spaces to relax and entertain. The outdoor living spaces are equally exquisite, with a covered porch and furnishings surrounding a fireplace. We are loving this lakeside oasis, it would be very ideal for summer vacations!… Readers, what do think? Would this be your idea of a dream house retreat? Tell us in the Comments!

Beautiful! So tired of the modern kitchens! Every remodel in Nj has white cabinets grey and white counters. Even HGTV kitchens all look the same. Remodeling my kitchen and getting ideas this definitely inspired me to go back to a warmer design. So much character

Love this home! Beauty and function come together in a gorgeous design. What type of rock is used on the exterior and interior and is it native to Missouri?

Old world grandeur, very ornate, but it works in this home, stunning details.

Obviously, the master bedroom suite is not the one with the bunk. That one is for guests and children. My take on this masterpiece is that every detail was thoughtfully and carefully considered for beauty, comfort, function, family and entertaining spaces! Blending perfectly into the landscape the home reflects the personal preferences and tastes of the fortunate homeowner.

How can you have such place for barrels, and a such tiny bedroom for your guests that children are sleeping with parents ?

This is, by far, my favorite home to date!!! I’m so tired of the “farmhouse” decor! The home & decor has personality!
Thank you for posting!

you should take a look at the “related” links in this article because this looks like a pretty standard locati joint (the “related” links refer to other locati joints). rustic design is their thing.
