Gorgeous canyon home in Mill Valley nestled in an ancient redwood grove

OXB Studio Architects designed this stunning canyon home blending traditional and modern elements, located in the Cascade Canyon neighborhood of Mill Valley, California. This ground-up project encompasses 3,409 square feet of living space with four bedrooms and four-and-a-half bathrooms. There is also a one-bedroom, one-bath guest cottage on the property.

Singlepoint Design Build worked with the already stunning architecture laid out by OXB and added the transitional feel by selecting finishes that not only fit the house, but also the neighborhood and owner’s style. The home is located among beautiful redwood trees and adjacent to a hillside. In order to nestle the home into the site, the design called for extensive foundation and retaining wall work.

What We Love: This stunning canyon home showcases light-filled living spaces and inviting views captured by large windows throughout. Hardwood flooring and wood beams provide warmth, along with a layering of textures and comfortable furnishings. We are especially loving the indoor-outdoor connection and the fantastic outdoor entertaining deck that can be enjoyed all-year-round in sunny California.

The whole house is stunning, but I am *swooning* over those living room armchairs by the fireplace. I would love to know where they came from.

They are similar to the Halyard chairs, which are all the rage right now. If they are not Halyard’s, it’s a good place to start a search for similar.

Thanks so much! I’m not seeing anything quite like the above in my search, but it’s a good start :)
