This contemporary vacation home was designed on Kiawah Island, South Carolina by interior designer Lee Kleinhelter as a retreat for a busy Atlanta family. The award winning architecture and private lush landscape made for a unique coastal project. The empty space allowed the designer the opportunity to develop a scheme from scratch.
She used hues that complimented the exterior views without competing with the modern architecture. It was important for the designer to keep the space playful yet practical for a family with an active lifestyle. An open concept floorplan features a great room with expansive windows and soaring ceilings that enables the home to feel spacious and bright.
We have featured another home tour here on One Kindesign from the portfolio of t interior designer Lee Kleinhelter. So in case you missed it, be sure to have a look: Dutch meets West Indies in this stylish Atlanta dream home.
What We Love: This chic and stylish vacation retreat embraces the surrounding nature through spectacular floor-to-ceiling glass windows. The warmth of wood and rusticity of the stone fireplace helps to infuse some warmth into the contemporary styled home. The bright pops of green and orange helps to liven up the interior living spaces, perfect for family living. Of course, the destination of pretty fabulous too, Kiawah Island… yes please!
Readers, what are your thoughts on this family vacation getaway? Would the design style of this home ideal for you?
