This striking 1960s Japanese-style home was given a complete transformation by interior design firm Brown Design Group, located in Montecito, California. The original home was dated and the property was very over-grown, in need of new landscaping design. After some research, it was discovered that this home was a true gem with a fantastic historical past. The designers discovered the home was originally designed by notable architect Lutah Maria Riggs. She was one of the nations first woman architects and designed numerous iconic buildings in the Santa Barbara region. The designers retained the original footprint of the home, but tore the walls down to the studs. Completely revitalizing the home into modern living spaces for a young family to enjoy.
