Rethink Design Studio handled from concept to completion the design of this low country family home nestled along the Herb River in beautiful Savannah, Georgia. The project was imagined for a family of four, with the design, layout and function catering around their very active lifestyle. The warm and inviting interiors scheme features bold textiles mixed with custom millwork. Working with a transitional design style, the designers infused a neutral color palette with bold splashes of color throughout the interiors of the home. Spaces seem to flow from one to the next, with beautiful transitions that are quite seamless. Carefully curated furnishings and stylish decorative items add personality and charm. In the entryway, a herringbone cowhide rug creates a nice division of space from the rest of the home and adds texture and warmth to the rich hardwood floors. A graphic patterned wall covering designed by Schumacher creates elegance and a feeling of grandeur, welcoming you into the space.

What We Love: The entryway of this home is spectacular, it really sets the stage for what is to come… more stylish spaces with plenty of interesting decor and gorgeous furnishings. The wallpaper covering both the wall and ceiling is a stunning effect, which the white trim work and crown moulding adds a nice visual contrast. Overall, a very well designed family home that we would enjoy living in… how about you?

This beautiful living room features three shades of paint, all Benjamin Moore, one of our favorite paint companies! Here are the sources in case you would like to use them in your own home design: Wall Color, Ceiling Color and Rafter Color (click on the links to get the appropriate Benjamin Moore shades). The first two are an eggshell, while the rafters has been done in a semi-gloss. Another notable feature in this well designed space is the beautiful chandelier, not only is it a statement piece, it really helps to pull the space together and add a touch of luxe.

An all-white island kitchen features high-end appliances, custom cabinetry and Carrara marble countertops and backsplash. The white contrasts beautifully with the dark stained hardwood flooring.

This dreamy home office features a black and white color palette with bright pops of pink that is very feminine yet highly attractive! Interestingly enough, the Moroccan wool area rug featured in this space seems to be popping up everywhere, a very popular item.
