This triplex penthouse has been meticulously transformed by David Howell Design, housed in an original cast iron facade building in Tribeca, New York. The home showcases a 3,000 square foot rooftop terrace featuring a stainless steel swimming pool. When it came to the interior design scheme, the goal was to create a chic and ultra hip family home designed for entertaining family and friends but also conducive to a fun family life. To successfully achieve this goal, vibrant splashes of color were infused throughout, along with warm, dark wood and bold, dynamic furnishings that were custom designed for this home. In the dining room, the homeowner’s art collection of four original Andy Warhol skull prints are on display, triggering the design palette for this space. A custom designed dining table featuring a long, live-edge wood is the centerpiece to the design and perfect for hosting dinner parties. In one of the bathrooms, the skull design is repeated in a mosaic tile pattern. The master bathroom features a modern, yet warm palette, with a Gaudi-inspired tile mosaic installation in the shower. There is also a floating bathtub accented by a wall clad with rich walnut. The penthouse also showcases designer pieces from the likes of Tom Dixon, Missoni and Edward Fields.
What We Love: Vibrant and bright, this penthouse has a very playful design and a unique artistic flair with mosaic tiled bathrooms. This would be a fun family home, but possibly even more fun to entertain in with the expansive wine cellar and fantastic pool table!
