White Street Loft is a beautiful 19th century loft designed by owner and principal James Ramsey of Raad Studio, located in Tribeca, an area in Lower Manhattan, New York. The home does not offer a lot of natural light, but makes up for it in the well placed light fixtures. Originally details have been carefully preserved, such as old windows, tin ceilings and exposed brick walls. New finishes were added such as light oak flooring, refreshing the walls with a coat of white paint and modern stainless appliances. Three windows were added to the center of the loft where the apartment was the darkest to allow some natural light to filter into the space. Some custom designed pieces by the designer includes a walnut storage/stereo cabinet, a 300 bottle wine rack crafted from terra cotta drainage pipes and a Beluga whale skeleton designed from a plaster mold that floats over the dining table. The custom kitchen showcases black granite countertops, white subway tile backsplash, and an island covered in white marble and walnut. The end result is a super stylish pad with plenty of tactile materials and stunning decorative accents, enjoy the photo tour!
