Old Tahoe House is a three-story residence that has been designed to take advantage of its privileged location by Olson-Olson Architects, on the shores of Lake Tahoe, California. The 6,800 square foot modern home displays a charming exterior with poplar bark siding and black locust log trim, railings and fencing. The expansive interior encompasses an open plan main level, showcasing a great room, open kitchen, spacious dining room, sitting area and mudroom. The interiors offer unobstructed views of Lake Tahoe, with a wraparound deck, outdoor fireplace and lakeside lounging next to the shoreline. The lower level offers four guest suites, all featuring lake views, a custom designed cedar sauna, pewter bar, billiard table, games room, home theater, double sided fireplace, and a cozy library with a hidden entrance to a wine and corking room. The upper level is dedicated to the master suite, with a private balcony, sitting area positioned around a fireplace and a luxurious bathroom. The master bath features a solid granite bathtub enveloped by paneled walls of stone and custom his and hers vanities with warming drawers for towels. Additional special features of this residence includes custom designed chandeliers and sconces throughout the interiors which was beautifully completed by Michael Brian Interior Design.
