Cozy seaside gable house boasts breathtaking views over the Atlantic Ocean

seaside-gable-beach-style-exterior

This stunning beach house was designed by architects Ike Kligerman Barkley, located on a rolling site overlooking the Atlantic Ocean in Boston, Massachusetts. This seaside gable house brings together two contrasting ideas – nineteenth century Shingle Style design, and a contemporary preference for material and textural expression over architectural detail. While the exterior captures the local design aesthetic, the interior treats light, space and surface in a distinctly modern fashion.

What We Love: This charming seaside gable house offers light-filled interior living spaces and windows maximizing views over the New England coast. Living spaces are warm and comfortable thanks to a seaside-inspired palette and the heavy use of wood. The outdoor spaces are equally amazing, with an expansive swimming pool that seems to extend into the magnificent ocean… Readers, what are your overall thoughts, would this be your ideal place to call home?
